Good to know but what does this have to do with guns?

Shouldn't this go in the Chatter section?

Well there Hiway Patrol not local cops. Enforcing traffic laws is their job.

That and the simple fact of the matter is that speeding tickets generate much more revenue than tailgating tickets, driving in the left lane even though that is agains the law in most states I've never heard of people getting tickets for it ever.

My eyes glanced over the sections and came across " non-XD..." so I clicked without reading the rest of the forum title. Forgive me for making a mistake and posting in the wrong section.

Just wanted to share.

I got nailed doing 87 on the interstate by an airplane. The plane didn't pull me over, a trooper sitting at the next exit did. I don't think it's illegal, but it might be something fightable in court.

In fact, I happened to take that next exit, so he had to come by me and then spin around. He didn't even see me at close to highway speeds. I don't think it's a good use of cops, but it is a way for them to raise some money, so as long as it's legal I'm sure they'll keep doing it.

The local Police here (Jacksonville, NC PD and the state Police) like to sit on the end of the newly constructed by-pass and pop people right after work.

Just on Friday (I get friday's off as I work nights sun-thurs.) I happened to be driving by there about that time and I counted 9 cops with one person pulled over a piece all in a line. Most of these guys just got done working 12-16 hr days and are heading home to their family.

Once again an easy way to generate revenue since most of those tickets are going to be paid through the mail. Never mind the pickup pulling the trailer full of various odds and ends that arent fastened down and are hanging off the sides and back of the trailer since they probably wouldn't get much money out of that anyway.
