YAY! New Toy! GLOCK22C

So I wanted a fullsize GLOCK to practice with untill I get my agency issued G22. Well, I could't justify shelling out the dollars for a gun I will be issued in a month, so I purchased the "C" model (compensated for those unfimilure). I am thinking about a threaded un-compensated in 9mm barrel for my next purchase, and then maybe a suppressor.

I purchased the gun, a paddle holster, and 50 rounds of Speer Gold Dot ammunition for $485 after tax. The GLOCK22C was just $423 by itself.

Anyways, here is some G22C porn (not my own) for you guys to enjoy!

Congrats on the new pistola. $423 seems like a really good price for anything with Glock stamped on it--was it new or used?

Sure it will be a great shooter. BTW does anyone know the % of recoil is reduced with a compensated model?

Don't get me wrong, I love loud, fire-snorting comped guns as much as anyone but Glock has gotta tone down the photoshop effects a bit. I mean the flame coming out of the barrel makes that Glock look like a F-4 on full afterburner!

Congats on the new pistol. Should be tons o fun!!

I agree, the flame job is a bit overone, but it looks a little cool. As for what I carry...
I used to carry my .40 XD Service EVERYWHERE! I love that gun. When I took my current position as a Deputy Sheriff, I had to move out of the state I lived and had a CCW. So For a time, I went without carrying a gun. I eventually bought a G27 in anticipation of being issued a G22 (mags form the G22 will work in a G27 in a pinch). I now carry the G27 EVERYWHERE! Its agreat sized firearm. I have thought about trading my XD .40 Service many times, and even went as far as to getting a figure on how much a shop would give me for trade towards another firearm. But, I can't do it. My XD was my first gun. I love the safety features, the looks, and how it functions. Other guns have come and gone since the XD, but the XD (and well, the GLOCKS) will stay!

I payed $23 dollars more for the G23C over the cost of the G22 ($399 for G22). Thats new pricing on the weapons. This shop deosn't sell used firearms anyways. The place I bought it at sells every GLOCK with 3 magazines automatically. The catch: To purchase firearms from this shop, you either have to be active-duty military, work in Fire, EMT, Police, or security. I got my EOTech from them for $350! Plus I get 10% to 20 % everything else they sell in the store.
