How to store HD shotgun?
My wife does not like guns in the house as much as I do.
I want to add a HD shotgun to my 9sc. I need ideas for secure storage of the SG while having it be useful for HD. I have my SC in a gun vault for easy access. She does not like the idea of the gun just hanging over the door in the closet. Is there a product out there that would let me secure it in a way that allows quick access like the gun vault? I don't think that a long gun safe is the answer as it will take way to long to get into.

I keep my several shotguns in a safe. Unless my house is overrun by doves, quail, etc., I won't need a shotgun at home for s.d. I feel pretty comfortable with a handgun close by for s.d. purposes.

I just keep mine next to the bed and a handgun on the night stand. I can grab one and go check the bump in the night while the wife stays in the bedroom with the other.

Maybe have it duracoated in a camo that matches your wallpaper, then hanger it above your door in your bedroom

Set it next to the bed and and tell her it helps you sleep at night...lol
They do make a shelf thing that hangs on the wall that holds a long gun. Its decorative and could be hunt directly over the bed.

Get one of those "Break In Case of Emergency" boxes that is large enough for the shotgun... should be able to find one in a building supply place large enough for a shotgun... just put the gun in instead of an axe

MOssberg makes a wall mount that I use. It's key operated but I keep the key in my quick access pistol safe along w/ my USP. The mount/clamp screws to the wall studs w/ 1/4"x3" wood screws & the SG locks inplace.
