Kel-Tec Goodies

Got a metal guide rod and finger extension base pad for my P11 today. I love kel-tec. $20 after shipping.

I'm not familiar with the P11, but have a P32. Maybe they have a different design, but I have heard that in the p32/p3at. the plastic guide rod is preferable because it can bend and accommodate the rise and fall of the barrel more easily. This is, after all, maybe the smallest locked breach pistol.

I was at first inclined to get the metal rod, but now after a year or so and seeing zero wear on the plastic rod and having 100% reliability since shot #1, I feel very confident with the plastic guide rod and wouldn't want to fix what ain't apparently broke!

Just my opinion.

Kel-Tec customer support is unbeatable. They sent me three rim-lock kits for free!!!

Peace,
D.

My P3AT came with the steel guide rod stock. Never heard of a plastic one for the P3AT.

They've probably since changed that. Bottom line, though...I love kel-tec. I will probably get a few more. They're cheap and reliable. I can shoot them well and they are just plain nice to have. You don't have to worry about the factory not sending you parts.
