German Arsenal

Thought this video of Germans training in Kosovo quite entertaining. These guys look more like they are having a wild range day than training!

The "human bipod" for the MG3 is very interesting; I thought that was used only in WWII. Obviously they still use that as a standard drill.

The G36 fire toward the end of the clip is also a hoot. Looks like the G36's bolt carrier handle is on the top of the receiver, just below the carry handle. What is curious is that it looks like the bolt carrier handle cycles with the bolt; a little bit strange for modern fire arm. Others like G3, FAL, or M16 all have charging handle that is separate from the bolt carrier, thus prevents an exposed moving part cycling at high rate with the bolt during fire. Still, I wouldn't mind having one of those though!

I do not think I want to be that human tripod. I do not see any hearing protection either.

The heavy machine gun that they were using is the MG34, same one they had in WW2... Either they are poor or that gun kicks ass.

The MG34 and MG42 (Satans Zipper)medium MG were used in WW2. the MG3 is a modern MG42 in .308.......our 'copy' was the M60.....

The only problem is that the MG3 works better than our Improved model Actually the M60 is a combination of the MG42 and the FG 42 paratroopers rifle and not a totaly succesful combination at that. Although the newest model shows promise.
