Tactical shotgun

I am looking for pictures and websites of stuff I can do to a shotgun. You know what I am talking about, like the swat teams have...short barrel, light all black etc.

I'm not a fan of mall-ninja shotguns.

I am a fan of militarized shotguns, like this one:

I can't say for sure, but I think it's a Remington M-870

Like this one?

I don't know about mall ninja - I just put on a light, 18" barrel and switched out the front sight bead with a fiber optic. It sits beside the bed and would be my go-to gun for situations at home. Shotguns are about the easiest thing to work on! About the only thing that would require gunsmithing would be some ghost ring sights.

That 870 above looks like it's seen some use! The front sight ramp is missing a blade.

Wilson makes some nice accessories for shotguns. Extended magazine tubes, high visibility followers, springs, and ghost ring sights to name a few.

You could also visit AR15.com's Shotgun forum for more ideas. Take a browse through the shotgun picture threads.

Or like this.

Midway had Mossberg brand 18" barrels for the Remington 870 for <$100.

It adds to the character of the weapon Besides, who needs sights on something that sprays ammo at a maximum effective range of 50yds? It's not a precision instrument. It's a power tool baby

Need to take a headshot without hitting a hostage? Get a rifle.

Need to instantly knock a bogie on his ass no matter what? Get a shotgun.

Need to fight your way to one of the above? Carry a pistol.

I must say of the shotguns pictured here so far, I personally like this one the best.

By the way, I was only being sarcastic with the comment about shotguns not needing sights. I hunt enough to know they do
