Thumbs up SIL loves the AK

on christmas we went shooting out in the trails with my wife's AK, her brother's AK, our mossy, FIL's 22-250 and our hand guns.

my SIL is married in like me and im pretty sure she wasnt raised with guns and has been kind of anti-gun since i've known her. she didnt like her kids to even have a water gun.

some how though my BIL has changed her thinking in the last year or so and they will be getting their CCWs.

anyway, she was scared of shooting either of the AKs, but after ONE shot she got all excited and had a HUGE grin.

its amazing how people feel after shooting a gun like this for the first time. i think we might have a third AK in the family in the next year!

just thought i share about the powers of the AK. oh, and i love my in-laws...im sorry for those of you who cant stand yours.

I think most people that are anti-gun have never fired one. My boys have always been exsposed to them and I have tought respect for them. My son's first time with an AK was very exciting for him. He loved it.

from the small metal piece on the folder
i'd call it a butt stock.. but it's barely anything. dug into my skin with every recoil

i fired about 150 rounds with the AK
maybe 200 more with the SKS

If it's the Polish folder with the tiny metal stock, I can imagine the bruise. But if it's the Yugo folder, then yeah, you a wuss!

Hey after a few hundred rounds through my AK with the EG folding stock I have a bruised shoulder. Those wire stocks were designed by a masochist. But I love it anyway!

A 223 or 5.45 AK would be perfect for the recoil-sensitive. I used to have a 5.45 AK that kicked like a 22. Man that was a fun rifle! The only problem was the blast of gas in the eye every shot.

i had a SAR-2 5.45. i sold it to a buddy because i didnt feel like the ammo was gonna be around like the 223 or 308. and also i used the cash to fuel my handgun purcahse. the recoil on it was like a cap-gun though.

the AK doesnt kick for sheet!

you want to talk about kick? my FIL's double barrel shotgun is NO fun. after four shots of BIRD shot i was done.

i just bought some remington buckshot 00, i plan to go shooting tonight...ill let yall know how that feels.

anyway, back on topic...do you guys tense up before shooting or just relax and let the "gun" push you?
