My 9 y/o's xmas present
This year I bought for my nine year old daughter a Walther p22. You see she is my one range buddy that never says no to a range trip. I have been renting the ranges walther p22 for her and she has shown good improvement every trip. She is a great student and has really taken to the sport naturally. She wanted the military green frame and wants the slide duracoated in a pale pink color, but she will need to earn the slide treatment. The deal is that when she can empty two magazines worth of 22 lr's into the red spot of a b27 target from 7 yds, I will pay for the pink slide!

I am also thinking about getting my daughter a Walther P22; Although I'm thinking of getting her one with the compensator.
I like the fact that there is "bonding" between fathers and daughters.

Seriously though, I really like the P22. My FIL has one. The only thing is that it tends to jam often which isn't that big of a deal.

Anyone know where I can get the trigger worked over for her? she doesn't complain, but I notice that she has to work at the near 5 lb trigger. Last edited by jimmyjam101 : 12-27-2006 at 03:59 PM. |

Someday my daughter will get to shoot my P22 and my 10/22.... It'll be awhile, though, she just turned 12 weeks old.....
