love the knoxx specOps

put about 50 or so rounds through my new mossy 500 with the knoxx specOps. i have to say i like it a lot!!

i would have kept shooting it but i only brought two boxes. granted it was bird shot, but it still felt good when shooting.

my wife how ever didnt like it, but her shoulder was already sore from her AK. i think she put it in her head that it kicks too much.

anyway, if you got a shotgun and dont like the recoil try the SpecOps.

I bought one for my 835 but you cant site down the barrel effectively without getting your nose wacked. Thinking about selling it although it does do a tremendous job of reducing felt recoil.

really?

i had no problem aiming and shooting...meaning my nose was fine.

no offense but i remember you saying you're short when you posted your pic, do you think it would help if you had longer arms?

it is a great stock ive fired lots of bird and 3" buck through it and i love it,

FYI: i asked knoxx the other day about getting one for the remington 1100 and was told they do not produce them because " The reason is the bolt return spring and tube in the stock."

on getting your nose whacked, I have to make sure your cheek is resting at least an inch back from the recoil/activated part - just extend your stock one or two clicks.

I dont think its a short thing, I could shoot buck and bird ok but when trying it with slugs, I find the stock is too high for proper sight alignment. I did some searches on this matter and found on a shotgun forum the same problem that I was having so its somewhat common. If you tilt the gun a bit, it will also rectify the problem. It is a great stock, might be ok when I put an electronic sight in the gun.

nic nice - Thanks for starting this thread. I have been reading about this stock and decided I have to get one to replace the pistol grip on my Mossberg Persuader. For those of you who have one would you mind telling me what you paid for it and where you bought it? Does anyone have the cheek rest option? Also, I assume you can install it yourself. Is that correct?

I got one last week for my Mossy 500 mariner. It came with a pistol grip and I wanted a real stock as well. Plus, my usual indoor range doesn't allow PG only shotguns on the line.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet though. Haven't made it down to the range during the holidays.

I paid ~$100 with a Mil discount from a brick & mortar store out here.

oh, you're prob right. I've got LPA ghost sights on my moss500, so with the specops stock it lines up perfect

I bought mine direct from Knoxx - they have excellent customer service and support. I have the check rest option, but found it was too high, so don't use it now. Yes, its all easy self-install
