My First 1911

it was the longest 10 days i ever had to wait but it finally came. and let me tell you that it was worth the wait and more.

I just picked up my first 1911. its the Springfield TRP Operator. i put a deposit on it about 2 months ago and just picked it up this morning at 11am. The gun usually sells for $1399 but it was on clearance for $1199. I had to do it. According to the guy at the store, this was the last batch from springfield for this particular model. I'm really happy with it and can't wait to shoot it. As you can see from the oil and tags, it's just came out of the box.

Congratulations

Congratulations man....that is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL machine.

If I had that kind of budget I would pick one of those up in a SECOND

If I had that kind of budget, I'd have one in 1/2 a second!

Honestly though, I've never shot a 1911 but I'd like to, just to see what all the fuss is about them. But then I'd be tempted to buy one, and my priority for a gun at the moment is for a concealed carry.

Many you went all out for your first 1911. The higher end Springfeilds are really tack drivers IMO, you will really enjoy it.
