What's a better Glock 17L or 34

I have an opportunity to pick up one these for a very good price (TBD) from a good friend who's selling them because Imlet hiom shoot my Wilson Combat and my XD's. He wants one of each...

Anyways I've been away from the Glock thing for more that the better part of a Decade, last glock I owned was the G19....

so what Are the Major Differences between these two Guns (G17L and the G34). And what has been your experience with these excat guns?

I beleive I will be able to get them for under $400 each.

Need your feedback.

As for the differences, beyond the G17L having a 0.7" longer barrel and slide, a longer sight radius, and being heavier than the G34, not much

Sounds to me like the G34 is better for competition.

G34 is the only one for competition. The 17L is just too darn long. The G34 rules in SSP IDPA. Get the trigger working the way you want and throw on some Sevigny competition sights or carry sights and you are GtoG. I prefer the Heinie sight picture to the Sevigny carry, but the Sevigny carry is just too good.

Thanks guy's/folk's! I guess the 34 will become a new member of the plastic grouping, in a few weeks.

I had one for about a day. It took too darn long to get the stupid thing and there was another guy at the range that wanted it anyway. i let him take it for what I paid. No money lost on it and I got to shoot it for a while. Make sure you ask for the 3.5 connector. if not it will come with the 5lb. Easy change but kind of a pain to take apart a brand new gun.

You can not say Glock and better in the same sentence that is like an oxymoron. There is no such thing as a better glock.

Just foolin.

I like the 34

Good thing the foolin part was there. I was going to say you have never shot against a G34.

Just don't shoot reloads in it. It's scary to watch when someone does.
