Glock trigger enhancements...what do I get??
I fellas. I will admit to ya...my G-17 has a crappy trigger. It works ok, but too much pull etc. makes my shots off to the left.
I am in contact with a Glock armorer at a police dept. but do not know which to get..just a 3.5# connector or the whole trigger "kit"?? I don't want to get a whole kit if the connector will lessen the poundage...but would it be a better idea to replace the whole speal? these items.... http://glockmeister.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id/199 http://glockmeister.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id/203 http://glockmeister.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id/201

I think you really only need the disconnector. A friend of mine had his switched to a 3.5 and the trigger is amazing. Well, amazing as far as Glock triggers are concerned. My G26 is my every day carry, so I am content with the stock disconnector. It's a cheap part and it's also really simple to do yourself if you're comfortable disassembling the gun. There's no reason to buy the complete trigger setup IMO. Also, I would pass on the "revolver pull" combo. Why make the trigger worse?

I own six Glocks, all of which have 3.5# connectors (they're not "disconnectors") installed. I much prefer the Scherer 3.5# connector over the stock Glock connector...the Scherer is much less mushy. I also use a Dremel with the soft, white polishing wheel that's attached to a mandrel by a screw and some Simichrome polish and polish all metal-to-metal contact areas in the firing mechanism.
You don't need to be a Glock armorer (read: parts replacer) or a gunsmith, in order to replace any Glock parts. It's so simple, even a DemocRAT could probably be trained to do it, given no time constraints. |

glock work
Fat Matt,
There is a book out by Robin Taylor, Bobby Carver, and Mark Passamanck. It is called " the glock in competition ". Get it and it will explain everything you need to know. You can find thru Dillon precision. There are many things you could due to your glock to help the trigger pull out. Good luck. |
