Nice very nice. Was the AKS built from a 80% or a complete receiver?
I am temped to build one from a flat or 80% kit. Did you rivet it or go
the screw route?

OOW/ITM 100% receiver (remrmber that you have to trim it to fit and after you locate the front trunion, use the dust cover to locate the the rear tang/trunion) Rivit build. I did one with screws till I got brave enough to try rivits, its actually pretty easy.

Thanks.I`m probably going to go with a couple of ITM receivers.
The 80% or flat looks like a PITA.
Did you use the modified bolt cutter for the rivets?

Yep, sure did. I would honestly say for you to use a NoDaKSpuD 'economy' receiver. Same price, less headaches. Harlan is the Man......scroll on down and chech them all out.

Wow...a Finnish proof-stamped M-38 is really not all that common (thats what the SA in the box is). Hang onto that one.

I have a 1937 dated Finnish M-27 Tikka-built Mosin that is like new condition...another rarity.

Great find!
