Rent a 92FS, disappointed!

The first 10 rounds were so bad that I was shocked! Bullets flied everywhere on that target 10 yards away. No grouping at all. Later shots became a little better. But most of the them were still out of the 9 ring and still no grouping. 92FS shouldn't be that bad! Maybe this range gun has been badly beat up? Thoughts?

Was the can of beer in your shooting hand or off hand?

I shot a new M9 and it was fine. Really nice on single action...

Grouping was pretty good considering I wasn't used to the gun.

I would never judge a gun by a rental gun, many times they are just not kept up.

MagTech (from range) and WWB, both 115 gr FMJ. I shot the same ammo with my xd and I got almost all my shots inside the 10 ring at the same distance.

I've rented 1911, Sig and Glock from the same range and they are all very accurate in my hand. I told the guy working in the range about the inacuracy of the 92FS and he said he never heard anyone else complaining about it. Now I think it might be my problem. The wide grip of 92FS doesn't fit my hand very well. And after I shot it for 30 or 40 rounds, I did get a little better. Next time I will push my friend to try the same gun.

Thats unusual. Every 92F I have eer shot was pretty accurate in SA mode...also very reliable.

I am betting the range gun had dings on the muzzle and other mishandling scars. Thats not normal for the 92/96 Series Beretta...not at all.
