CED7000 vs CED8000 Timer

Im in the market for my first timer. I have seen a few post here with folks stating they would have purchased the smaller CED7000 if it were around when they purchased a CED8000.

Can ayone tell me the disadvantages, if any, in purchasing a CED7000 instead of the CED8000

-Small size, you might loose it in the bottom of your shooting bag in the clutter of spare parts and power bar wrappers

-Got to remember to recharge it before the match, (unless you get the car charger or external battery pack then you can charge it on the way to the match)

-If you buy the silicon skin you will have to choose between six possible colors, decisions decisions.

-display has smaller numbers than the 8000. It's still easy to read but if you like to hold it out for the scorer to read and record the time while you watch the shoot show clear, hammer down and holster the scorer has to crowded up on you and the shooter to read the smaller display.

Over all I am very pleased with mine. I have used both the 8000 and now my 7000 along with a few other timers and I do like the 7000 best. I do want to get the arm band for it so I can free up both hands after the start signal. But even with just the unit I put it on the included lanyard and after I clear the shooter a put it back on the lanyard and spin it around behind me and score the targets and then have both hand free to assist pasting if needed.

Anyone know if any of our vendors here at XDtalk carry the CED line?
