Px4

I took my own advice the other day and on Monday 9-11 I stopped at a gun shop after work and bought a new toy - a Px4 in .40 S & W. I went to the range yesterday to shoot it and oh boy I think I'm in love. It felt like I was shooting a 9mm. The trigger took some getting used to after shooting XDs for the last 3 months but I quickly became one with it. It won't replace my XD as the starter (yet) but it'll definitely see some playing time. Just makes me want to send in the XD for trigger work now.

I'm not a PX4 fan, but I have shot 1 in a 40 and in a 9mm. The 40 was the ONLY time I have shot a gun in 40 cal. And, I must admit that the gun handles the higher power round pretty well. The extra recoil wasn't really that bad compared to a 9mm.

Enjoy the new gun!

This must be a coincedense (spell check), because yesterday, while looking for a weapon for my wife, I shot the PX4 in 9mm and I have to say I love the trigger in sigle action (DA/SA) mode. The double action aspect is a very long travel, but in SA WOW!!!!!

I did not shot the .40 cal, but I have to state that the 9mm PX4 kicks less than the Service model 9mm XD. (Marginally). Great work from the folks in Italy.

My brother has a PX4 in 9mm and I have shot it several times.

Nice shooter...very little recoil and as accurate as most stock d/a 9mms. Won't touch my Hi-Power or Swiss P225 Sig, but will definately get the job done.

Downside? Its kinda klunky and big and not very attractive to me, but as far as function..well...the thing shoots very well and hasn't given us a bit of trouble.

I rented an XD 9mm Service to shoot the last time I went to the range. And although that's about 2 weeks between range trips, The Px4 .40 didn't feel much different than the 9mm XD I shot.

I think you might be suprise when you shoot the PX4 and the XD (Service) in 9mm side by side. I know I was.
