CZ 452 .22 Rifle

As my 10/22 builds are both heavy and scoped, I'm looking to get a lighter weight and iron sighted .22LR.
The nicest ones for finish and price seem to be the CZ's.
Anyone have one?
There are so many different 452's... kinda confused.
Probably going to get the Lux- adjustable trigger, turkish walnut stock, nice sights, real long barrel but moderately light.
Thoughts?
Note- the price of ammo seems nutty, but I was contemplating 22WMR and 22 Hornet, but I don't reload, so that would make plinking prohibitively expensive. Problems with the 17hmr is it seems to susceptible to wind.

I shoot in a very windy area, Lubbock which is basically in the flat plains of the US. My 17HMR consistently outshoots my .22LR.

http://www.varmintal.com/17hmr.htm

Check this link out, scroll down to the CZ 452 Varmit version (right under the regular CZ 452), he got excellent results and groupings with his. It looks like a well designed rifle.

I personally own a Savage 17HMR and its a real tack driver also. Comes factory direct with a heavy barrel thats floated.

Yeah, I'm set on the CZ.
Thing is I want open sights.
Such being the case, I'm debating between 17HMR, .22LR and .22WMR.
Ammo cost is somewhat of a consideration, but not huge.
Primary use is silhouette and paper holes as I've got a 10/22 that under 100 years is unbeatable for small varmint control.
Leaning towards 22LR for ammo reasons.
Hm.

Yea for open sights I wouldn't get a 17HMR. 17HMR shines for distances that need scopes where .22LR lacks, so if you get open sights, get a 22LR.

NR-
Good call.
Thanks for the advice, that's good logic.
The fit and finish on the CZ is awesome.
Going with the Lux looong barrel, open sights.
I could save $100 by getting the beechwood stock, but I think I'll ante up and get the turkish walnut one. Just looks so dang pretty.

It certainly does look nice. I remember talking to a guy this last winter at a range in Houston and he bought a brand new CZ rifle and was always raving about how good it shot. It was built well and had nice wood on it, something you don't see much these days with newer guns.

Local place is not gonna come through.
Once again, http://www.budsgunshop.com/ to the rescue.
Damn thing is they had a Savage in 17hmr with a scope and wood stock for $200 which somehow made it into my shopping cart.
I'll post Range Reports when available.
