Beretta questions

Hey everyone, I've been eyein' a 92G Elite II for quite some time to shoot production with and I've got a question for all of you gun geniuses out there. What's the difference between "Made in Italy" and "Made in U.S.A."? Is there anything different? Is one "better" to have than the other? Thanks.

Some will say the italy ones are better - I personalluy think it doesn't matter.

Do they even have any Elites made in Italy available here? It's usually older 92s that were made in Italy. The new 90-Two is made in Italy, as is the Cougar, if it matters to you.

For the purist it should say made in Italy......thats about it.....its still the best evolution of the P38...There's no difference other than slight tolerence issues, Ameican made 92s being tighter.

I actually don't know if any Elites are made in Italy or not, I was just reading about Berettas in general and on various boards people asked "is it made in italy or usa?" and no one really explained why or which might be better. It really makes no difference to me where it's made (although I am biased slightly to non-domestic firearms, especially semi-autos ), I'm just curious.

According to the people over on the Beretta forum, the made in Italy 92s have a slightly better finish and the USA versions are slightly tighter. However, everyone on the site that has both, says there is no differences in performance. The beretta forum is a superb forum by the way. Members are very knowledgeable and there is little to no fighting/arguing.
