OMG.. I'm in love.....

I have been researching sniper/tactical rifles for a while now. I've seen a lot of options, and read many reviews. My search is now over.

"I gotta get me one of these!!!"

Check out http://www.unique-alpine.de/ for more info and more pictures. The site is in German, but you can always get Google to translate it for you.

According to the sniper forum I belong to, this isn't available in the USA (yet).

I have an email into UA inquiring about US availability and pricing.

The price is said to be around $5000.

It's made of German and Swiss parts, and it seems to be VERY high in quality and craftsmanship. It's capable of consistently shooting .5 MOA or better w/ the proper ammunition.

I'd never be able to afford it even if it's available here. But a guy can dream, right??

My favorite high end sniper maker is Accuracy International, which is much like this company you have shown:

http://www.accuracyinternational.com/ Prices range from 3,200 to 13,000 bucks. The AWP that is so popularized from video games runs about 4,600! Extremely accurate guns.

I don't think they are worth the price myself, as you can grab a Savage or comparable rifle and accuracy it beyond all reason for under what both companies ask for.

Not only are these guns expensive, but in order to utilize the accuracy potential, you will need to get a dang good optic with a very, very good mounting system. Those will cost a lot also. Professional shooting classes wouldnt hurt either. Those guns are far, far, far, far, far more accurate than I will ever shoot.

I'd LOVE an AI. I'll probably never own one, though.

I'm broke so I'll have to settle for a high-quality production rifle. Shoot, my Savage 93r17 shoots sub-MOA @100 yards and it cost much less than 300 dollars.

I personally think that your best bang for your buck if you want to spend around $3K for a rifle is one from Tactical Operations. I prefer the tango over the others because it's got a McMillan stock that is more like the grip angle of hunting rifles I grew up with. What is amazing about this rifle is that they guaruntee 1/4 moa at 100 yards, yes you read that right, guaruntee. After you break in the gun, if it doesn't shoot 1/4 moa or better, they will give you a refund or work the gun over so that it will shoot 1/4 moa. It's a beautiful rifle, not too many bells and whistles, just straight up workhorse. If any of you are interested the here's where you can see some things about it and go to TO's site to purcahse one, or some of their other rifles. http://www.snipercentral.com/tango51.htm
