Ruger P90???

I have the opportunity to pick up a Ruger P90 for what I think is a pretty good price. I've owned a P89 in the past and liked it a lot. Anyone have any thoughts on the P90 (other than the usual "they are as big as a brick" and "they weigh a ton"). Any known issues or concerns with them? I probably wouldn't be using it as a carry gun, just range/night stand.

Thanks

Too bad they won't - it seems like it would be a good way to trick a theif or someone that took your gun in a struggle. (If the bullet goes out the barrel when loaded properly, wouldn't it go at the shooter if loaded backwards?)

I had one for many years and loved it. Great gun, no nonsense shooter.

They are built like a tank and function terrific.

Dependable, accurate (7x), willl feed anything, including a 255 gr. Colt bullet for a pin load.
Got rid of mine because of the size, mag limitations and an annoying last round flier from each magazine. Mine was so loose it needed the pressure of a round in the mag to keep the slide from rattling.

I've had a ton of problems getting the first round to chamber when I put in a magazine. I think that it may be a problem with the magazine. It's really a letdown to me, as I got the P90 (and pimped it relentlessly) with the hope that it was a great American non-1911 .45.
