I didn't see it before, but I think you hit the nail right on the head beaker. If that's not the case then I'd guess that he filled in the etching on the rifle with crayola? Anyway, good guess.

Mosin Nagant, but the only thing that is really "different" about it (hex recievers dont' count as being different) is the 4 p and then the crazy symbols. I don't know what they mean, nor do I care to look them up right now. Inform us almighty combloc knowledge master...

.....yes its a Mosin, 'the crazy symbol' is the DDR mark below the year. I don't know what the '4p' means either....So its a 1934 Izhevsk 91/30 'Hex' with a DDR 'triangle 1' mark....$100

When I can get to a real cam, I'll post a pic. just put a '36 and '38 DDR 91/30 on layaway......the '38 is non import marked and also SA stamped!
