Tikka rifles
Does anyone have experiance with these rifles. I'm thinking about picking one up as a new hunting rifle. I'm looking at the T3 lite.

No personal experience but they are good rifles from what I hear. They are the little sister version to the Sako. I have a friend who says you can't go wrong with a Tikka.

My 1941 Russian/Finnish Tikka....
![]() Such a nice shooter! They did it right back in 1941, I bet the new ones are even better. I saw a line of modern day Tikkas at a gunshow 6 months ago. There was one in .223 with super nice wood, I really wanted to get it, but.....

Got one in 25-06 and love it to death. Very accurate, very lite and very reliable.

They have SAKO barrels, My Sako Varmiter will put 5 shots into less than 1/2". Nuff said.

Yes, all Tikka rifles have SAKO cold hammer forged barrels. Tikka/SAKO are Finnish riflemakers that have been around for centuries and are now owned by Beretta. They make very high qulaity stuff.
My uncle hunts with an earlier Tikka boltgun in 270 Winny and I have shot it several times. It is very accurate and looks to be very well made. A guy I used to hunt deer with has an old SAKO Finnfire 30-06 and swears by the thing. It too looks to be very well made. I have a Finnish Army M-27 Mosin Nagant that was built in the Tikka factory in 1937 (built on a captured Russian M-91 Mosin receiver made in 1919) and it is a very accurate rifle. Somewhat rare in this country as well. Go for the Tikka...I don't know of anyone that owns a Tikka or SAKO that does not love it. - Brickboy240

I'm going to go put one on layway next paycheck. I'm going to get it in a 30.06. Now does anyone have any input about a scope preferably $200 or less.

In the $200 dollar range - Simmons makes some nice scopes. Check out their White Tail line. Good, clear and rugged and a good value.
I have had one on my Ruger M77 for many years. It's been beat up pretty good but it still shoots true. bd |

Yes, the Simmons Whitetail is a good scope for not alot of money.
I have one on my Remington M700BDL in 270 and it has been trouble free and keeps a good zero. I have had it for about 4 years. The Tasco World Class is another inexpensive scope that is not a bad choice. I have a Tasco World Class 4x12x40mm on my 22-250 Mauser sporter and love it. - Brickboy240

I put a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 scope on my hunting rifle and if I recall it was a little under $200.
