Thumbs up My first AR...

After carrying one for years for Uncle Sammy, I finally bought my own AR, an M4A3. I used a LAR lower from a local shop, a STAG upper and parts and a CMT bolt. I was very happy with the quality of the parts and everything fits perfectly. Can't wait to sight it in this weekend. I don't have a pic to post, but it's a standard M4 style with the removeable handle. Just thought I'd share.

Congrats! I built my M4A3 and absolutely love it. Be prepared. You will have 2 compulsions that are impossible to resist. One, you'll want to put something on that flat top - EoTech, BUIS, etc. The second urge that will scream in your brain is the fact that it will look lonely. Perhaps a long range version will be #2. What about another CQB version....

Enjoy!

Either you're reading my mind or it's a common disease. I'm already planning an AR based .308 for my next project.

Excellent, got to love those AR's. I just picked up a used Bushmaster M4/A3 and really like it, sight in was a breeze, my wife even likes to shoot it. We do need some pics though of your build, sounds like a nice shooter.
