Gun pressed against a rib cage or against someones chest is not to scare them, imagine you get attacked, and the attacker pulls you to the ground and is on top of you... In this close combat situation, placing the firearm right on the attacker will insure a hit... I don't want to be worried about being too close, just my $0.02...

This would be correct if/when you press the firearm stright against a hard surface (i.e. press the gun against a wall)... Pressing the gun into someones ribs and/or gut is different, the front of the gun will form to the body, pushing the slide back and the guide rod forward... But, I've hi-jacked this thread....

Good one Boma!
I just picked mine up last week and I love mine too. Did ya get a holster for it yet?

Yeah I'm using an uncle mike's in the waistband. It's so easy to carry.

I don't have a pocket holster, but I did carry it with no holster in the pocket and it worked out fine.

Boma,

I got the bersa finger extensions for my mags. It allows me to have two fingers on the grip. You might not have that trouble (135lbs...honestly!).

Uncle mike has a sweet little pocket holster also.

there is a guy over at ktog.org forums that sells all things kel-tec for cheap. Shipping is super fast.

Thx for the tips! I got that ktog's guy link already!

I get two fingers on the grip easily and I could probably get three with the finger extension =).

My thoughts exactly. this why they say if you have a 1911 to your head, push back and it wont fire. My xd seems to strike just fine with pressure on the muzzle. WHether or not this will set a round off remains to be seen though.

Haven't tried firing after a Kel-Tec's been slightly out-of-battery, but sure have tried it with 1911s and Glocks. They fire just fine; don't have to be recocked; don't have to have the slide cycled again.
