USP questions

Okay, I just got myself a like new USPf 45. Honestly, this has got to be the finest pistol Ive ever fired. I shot my first one inch group at 10 yards with it. I about crapped my pants. Now on to my question...it supposidly has a recoil reducer. However, I didnt really notice any recoil change from my 1911 to the USP. Could my reducer be worn out? Or maybe is there a more powerful reducer?

No - it is fine - it is the way the spring is set up on the guiderod - that is their recoil reducer.

And, to be honest - if ya can't tell any difference between the 1911 and the USP - then it is working fine - Remember, the USP is a polymer gun. The 1911 is metal. Metal guns usually have less recoil.

It is working fine. Part of it is marketing dude. Just text hype. Enjoy the gun!

Absolutely. If you can get a polymer .45ACP pistol to the recoil of a 1911, you are in great shape.

I absolutely love my USP45f! I had the same experience as you. The first time I took it out, I shot a smiley face on a post-it at 7 yards. At the end of the day, I had 4" groups at 25 yards, which was the fault my poor shooting! They are very capable guns that will eat any ammo and keep ticking. In my opinion, it recoils less than the 1911 b/c of the dual captive guide rod. Enjoy it and shoot it as much as possible!
