carbine

I have a friend who has all handguns in 9mm. When it came time to purchase a rifle he bought a carbine that handled the same ammunition so he'd never have to worry about what went where. My XD is in a 40 and I'd like to do the same. Has anyone ever heard about this, or do they know who makes such animals as that I described above, but in .40 caliber?

Beretta makes the CX4 Storm in 40SW. I have shot the 9mm version and it was a hoot.

I believe Kel-Tec also makes their folding carbine in 40SW, too.

If you don't mind a less expensive weapon that, in my humble and unrequested opinion recieves a bad wrap, Hi Point makes a carbine in .40 S&W.

The Hi-Point in 40SW with the new Storm-looking stock would be a great choice. Should cost you, with the stock, about $325 out the door. Not bad for a decent rifle.

Just a note. The ATI stock is not yet available for the .40 Hi-Point, just the 9mm carbine. ATI has said they will make one for the .40, but state that the current 9mm stock will not fit the .40.

Oh by the way, you can use mags that match a few different pistols. They can accept glock, S&W, Berreta, sig. I'm not sure what else.
