A good .22 rifle and build up your ammo stockpile with what's left over.

I'd say a good .22 rifle AND .22 handgun.

Depends on what you want to do.

A nice CZ bolt action 22 rimfire would be nice.

How about a 22 target pistol of 22lr Kimber conversion for your 1911?

An 870 Remington Express riot/tactical 12 gauge pump?

Do you hunt deer? Maybe a nice bolt action 270 or 30-06 boltgun by Remington, Savage or Ruger?

How about a good 9mm? For well under 800 bucks, you could get a nice Hi-Power, Sig P226, CZ-75 or other quality 9mm.

Since they're still out there and cheap, how about an SKS and a few cases of ammo for the thing? (big fun)

Do you have a good holster for that 1911? How about some nice grips or some extra magazines from Wilson Combat? Get a really fine holster, from El Paso Saddlery or Milt Sparks and some exotic grips made of cocobolo or stag or buffalo horn to make your 1911 look special.

Do you own a good pair of binoculars? A REALLY GOOD pair...Zeiss, Steiners or Swarovskis? Always a good thing to have - you WILL find uses for them.

..just a few suggestions.

I highly recommend a shotgun, either a 870 or (if you have the extra cash) a Benelli M4.

You can Karma it to the "Nick19 wants a 1911 Fund"

I agree with the small back up, I bought a Taurus 85 I keep in a pocket holster.
