what is the diff between 2011 and 1911
i was just looking at the 2011 on www.brazoscustom.com and can't see too much difference between that and a 1911. Can anyone explaing the difference? Is the 1911 the traditional single stack and the 2011 double stack?
Also, what is STI? is that a company or a type of 1911 style frame? Sorry for the lame question but just got into guns and spent most of it on XD's. hehe

Yes, the 2011 is the polymer frame hi-cap. The frame is steel and the polymer "snaps" into the frame and is secured by screws.
STI is a big manufacturer of semi-custom guns, SVI is the other. They both have good website and are the "standard" for IPSC shooting in the US. Quote:

thanks. would you also happen to know if this gun is considered legal in IPSC limited? I only ask becuase it was name of this gun was "Limited".
![]() I thought the limited class didn't allow slide lightening. this is the gun I want but can't get myself to spend that much when I know I can get 3 other nice guns for the price.

Brazos is one of the best, it's gonna be a hurry up and wait, 6-12 month wait on that gun.
www.uspsa.com has the rule book on-line. Slide lightening is legal in limited. |

It's not the cost of the gun that kills your pocketbook, is the cost of feeding them...
You can find good deals on used guns on Gunbroker and the USPSA website if you are a member. |
