Taurus PT745
Anyone here have any experience with the Taurus Millennium Pro PT745? I am tired of waiting for the XD-45SC, not to mention that the PT is a lot less expensive and since it is a single stack is nice and slim, making it easier to conceal.
Thanks in advance!

I own the pt 145 pro. I believe the only differance is the magazine capacity. The pt145 carries 10 +1. I love the weapon and carry it daily.

Sorry I dont have experience with the 745, but have been carrying its big brother the PT145 Pro for a couple years now, and like it a lot.

Did that make sense? Sorry if it didn't - I'm up at 3am waiting for one of our development team to fix a software problem so I can call a customer back and go back to sleep

Another +1 for the PT145 MilPro.
I'm sure the 745 gains some concealability and better fit for smaller hands with the slimmer grip. Even the PT145 with 10rounds seems to fit my hand better than alot of other double stacks. I love my PT145MilPro! thanks

How would you say it feels compared to an XD (any cal) or Beretta 92/96 ?
More slim? I'd be more than happy with 10 rounds if I can still conceal it well! Quote:

Pt145 vs PT745
I wondered the same thing. Was unable to find one of each in the same place at the same time, soooooo........I bought both! Yes , crazy, but now I know.
The top end is the same on both, only difference is the grip size. The 745 is noticeably(sp?) slimmer, therefore more concealable. The grip on the145(10+1) IS smaller than my XD45. All this said, I like both, but one has to go. So I will sell either one and keep the other. Don't know if any of this helps anyone, both are good guns, just a little difference in the grip. BONUS! They both will fit in you XD holsters. I have 3 different XD holsters, and they all fit. Will list both for sale in the classifieds. Thanks, Robert |
