Got my toy! (Pics)
Finally got my Yugo M70!
This thing is prettier in real thing than in picture. Overall the metal part is refinished but that old, beat up pistol grip brings a lot of nolstagic look. As are the magazines, with their weathered metal color. I just love these surplus guns!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looks very nice!
Now all you need are some of these Yugo mags, maybe 'Bosnian'??..........

Nice.
How much was that? Did you have it refinished?

Is that AK parkerized? I like the weight and feel of an underfolder over all other AK's, nice gun.

That mag really makes me jealous now! Mind clue me in on where there is such thing remaining to be had, or is it something as extinct as a dinosaur on the market? |

Got it for $489 plus tax. The gun came pretty much as shown on the pics except for the upper and lower handguards; I stained and refinished them. The handguards came unfinished, which is not a problem at all. They are just not as much to my liking as the glossy ones. The rest of the metal parts are very well finished and solid, to my amazement. I try it with my different AK mags with varying capacities and everyone of them fits the gun snuggly and feeds flawlessly. The three mags that come with the gun, interestingly, have the bolt stop followers that will lock the bolt open when the mag is empty; very useful design. The bore is shiny bright, the folding stock locks in place tightly. I took the gun apart the first night and everything is in very good working order. Took me a little time to clean out the carbon built up on the inner wall of the gas tube; looks like it hasn't been brushed for a while. Aside from that, the gun is very clean. CAI does a good job restoring this gun. |

Sportsmanguide mag deal! That pic isn't mine......but I have seen a few of those mags at the gunshows, for $50! so as much as I like my AKs, I refuse to pay that for a mag....besides 'sources' say that we will be seeing more Yugo surplus in the future. My only 2 Yugos AKs are a M70AB2 and an M92 kit......
Thats one of Century's guns right?? I waited too long to jump on those so I bought 5.45 ammo instead.

This is the first underfolder I have and it is indeed very balance to hold even when the stock is folded. Not sure how those Bosnians could shoot it well with stock folded and in full auto though! |

Yes this is one of the CAI guns. Like you, I have been waiting and shopping for a what seems like ages for this one, only to see the price gradually climbing. Now my next saving is for a 5.45. I have seen a few Arsenal SLR105 at gun shows, very nice guns, but none of them are the R model with scope rail. I am trying to find one with scope rail, though I know it might be pretty tall order since Arsenal is no longer making these SLR105's. |
