SWEET! Im thinking of getting a 308...cause I heard they are a good long range sniper rifle...just don't know what to get...is Savage a good choice or are ther better?

Nice gun, but its not evil unless it can mistakenly classified as an assault weapon. Liberals wont be heart broken over a bolt action.

Savage is by and large my favorite bolt action gun maker, got 3 myself. Who makes the scope?

Not to worry nightraider, the media hasn't caught on to sniper rifles yet. When they do catch on all bolt action rifles will be called sniper rifles. That scope is made by SWFA (older Tasco scope).

Let us know how the scope preforms, I don't know much about it and for the price it looks pretty decent.
