Tussey Customs 1911's
Made the mistake of taking my XD to Tussey's (some of you 1911 owners may have heard of the name Terry Tussey) here in town to have the sites installed and boy what a mistake....
I have handled and shot some hi end 1911's in my life but even Les Baers and Wilson CQBs feel like GI models next to one of Tussey's creations. His stuff is just another step above. I should have never accepted the offer to come in the back and look around cause it's like walking into a Rolls Royce dealership and taking one for a test drive. I've been longing for a good 1911 but it's hard now that I've tried out the top of the line stuff. The Damascus models are incredible, especially in person. www.tusseycustom.com I was almost tempted to ask if they would be interested in taking on an apprentice. I have a Colt 1911 Combat Elite that has a compensated match barrel and trigger job by Terry - and I've fondled a lot of his "works of art" at gun shows. Hope he's recuperated from his accident - sounds like he's working again.
