CALIFORNIA ccw permit
Fellow californians, will gun laws ever change for good in this state?
-Criminals dont care about laws and carry guns and can easily get hi cap mags(hey they have ways to do it believe me) Its the sad truth in cali. They have hi cap mags we only have ten and we can only carry guns in our dwelling places while they(criminals) carry anywhere they want to. Why is it so hard to get a ccw permit in this COMMUNIST STATE? I hope the sheriff and the police chief(LA since I live here) issue these permits to law abiding citizens. Good for the law enforcement population here but what about us? I am a life member to the NRA hoping that things could change. I have tried to live a clean life while crooks waste their lives and that of the others. I know some people feel me Whew! Just ventilating but seriously though, is there ever a way to get a ccw besides being a victim of a violent crime and why is it hard to prove a good cause? Good night! |

Not a problem in San Bernardino County as long as the Sheriff's dept. is your responding agency. Just apply and put "Personal Protection" as the reason you want to carry. There is a ton of paper work involved though. Ive had a Calif. CCW for 6 years now. Its even easier to get now then when I got mine. Back then I had to show a good reason. I'm a business owner so it was not a problem for me.

The ease of getting a CCW varies by county. The more rural counties seem to issue more than the metro counties.
What a lot of people don't realize, is that geographically, CA is mostly conservative. Our problem is that our cities are VERY liberal and the metro population outnumbers our rural population so we get out voted frequently. Anyway, subsonic, you may try getting your CCW from another county...its perfectly legal by state law so its just up to the issuing county as to whether they want to issue to a non-resident. Some do, some don't; just shop around.
