Kudos for Springfield's Customer Service and Life-time Warranty
A couple of weeks ago after a mere 13,000 rounds, my Springer Black Stainless had its first significant failure. Within the span of a few rounds, the trigger ceased to function. I sent it off to Springfield the next Monday and asked them to fix the problem. I also pointed out a minor area where the black oxide finish had not been applied originally. Finally, I asked them to re-install a small spring in the rear sight. It had come out when the front pin had sheared off after about 9,000 rounds. They had sent me the replacement pin at no charge but I had not realized that the spring had come out until later.
I received my "new" Black Stainless back today just two weeks to the day from when I sent it off. It turned out it was the hammer strut that had broken which they replaced. Rather than replace the spring in the rear sight they installed an entirely new rear sight. And then instead of touching up the finish in the very minor area necessary they completely refinished the entire gun. Even the idiot scratch I had put on it shortly after I bought it is now gone! In addition to my original requests, they installed a new plunger tube assembly and also refit the slide to the frame. I had not mentioned either of these other two items. They just noticed them and fixed them on their own initiative. To say the least, I continue to be very impressed with Springfield's customer service. They not only met but greatly exceeded my expectations. And the best thing is that it didn't cost me a nickel. They even pay for shipping both ways! Is it any wonder why I continue to buy Springfield pistols?

I had the same awesome service when I was having recurring problems with my XD, they flat out replaced my pistol no questions, no hassles. The only thing that pisses me off, is that I put on an idiot scratch right after I got my new replacement. DOH!!
