My first 1911-A1

Today, I was bored so I decided to go out and go drool over some fancy shootin irons, for future reference. Well, needless to say, my little "future reference" trip turned into a firearm purchase. I tell ya, I'm running myself broke by looking at guns. Anyway, I was at a local gun shop that had the biggest selection of handguns I had ever seen. I made my way down the display cases, and came across a Springfield 1911-A1 GI 45 for 479 NIB. I didn't think I could find a Springfield 1911 for that kinda price, so I just couldn't resist the urge to make it mine. I'm glad to be the owner of a gun that's been around since the beginning of the 20th century. I keep telling myself "This will be my last gun for a while".

Just keep lying to yourself your hooked and there aint no 12 step program for our addiction. I've thought of getting one of those myself for sentimental reasons.

Thats a very nice "heater"
Shoot it alot, take good care of it and if you ever need to sell it you will get a good return on your investment since you bought quality

Excellent choice. I have handled a lot of 1911's lately, since I'm in the market for a Full Size pistol in .45. The SA is a way better buy for the money than any other of the Mil-Spec type 1911's around.

As to affliction with Firearm Aquisition Disorder, I am pretty sure every member of this forum suffers from it.

No other gun shoots like Ol' Slab Sides!
I *love* my 1911, and it is a dream to shoot. It is a gun that make me look good.

Congrats! I suspect you will feel the same, shortly.

That's the 1911-A1 that I bought, and I love it. It's accuracy is amazing, I love the sights, and it's so easy to strip. It's my first choice for defense.

Well thanx a lot all of you! BASTARDS!

I was just talking myself out of buying one of those, thinking...I really don't NEED another gun. But now...its like when you quit smoking, then someone lights up near you and you just cant help yourself! So now i am back to "how can i get one without getting in trouble"?

Thanks a lot! Some support group this is turning out to be!
