CX4 storm and Eagle magazines??????

I currently own a Beretta CX4 Storm in 9mm. I found some Eagle after market magazines on gunbroker.com for a really good price. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with these Eagle magazines, or with Eagle products in general.

A lot of people hate those Eagle mags. The general concensus is that they would be good for range only, but you will most likely have problems out of them. MDS and Beretta Factory mags are the only ones I'd recommend that you use in the CX4 if you want trouble-free operation.

My experience with aftermarket magazines has been hit or miss. As far as 1911s go, Wilson and Chip McCormick make some good stuff. Other mags are junk. With my Hi-Power, I have found that many aftermarket mags are junk, like Triple K, so Eagles might be like that.

I try to stay with factory mags on everything but 1911s (Wilsons sit in all 3 of my 1911s). With my old 92 Beretta, I ran only Beretta/Italian mags and they worked great. My Hi-Power and two Sigs see nothing but factory mags.

I'd stick with Beretta magazines. Check E-bay and other online sources. Maybe CDNN in Abilene? Less hassles with factory mags.

BTW, my brother bought one of those PX4s in 9mm and I have also shot one in 40SW and really liked them alot. They feel better in the hand than the 92F.

Never had a problem with eagle mags in a beretta. I haven't used them in any other firearm, but in a beretta they're fine. They definately feel different than factory mags, you can tell a factory from an eagle mag just by touching them. they feel cheap, but i've never had a failure of any kind.

buying a nice gun and crap mags is like putting junk tires on a vette

you bring the reliability of the good item down to the to the reliability of the cheap component

buy good mags and quality ammo and have a blast

Factory or Meg Kar's are the only mags I'd recomend. Eagles are crap.
