quick access shotgun safe?
I've got a fingertip vault for my carry gun next to the bed. I would like something with similar accessibility for a shotgun. I don't want to leave it out and around, so it has to be in some sort of cabinet. But if I have to find keys or turn a padlock it might as well be stored away in the basement.
Ideas?

What kind of bed do you have?
THe reason I ask is because I've often thought about taking one of those fingertip safes, mounting them to my bed frame, and cutting a hole just large enough in the sides so that the barrel and stock could stick out both ends and the trigger and guard are in the box. It wouldn't be able to be pulled free because of the guard, it would be readily accesible, out of sight, and might improve your sleep instead of giving you a lumpy mattress! Just a thought. |

I wish I could remeber who made it but I saw a ad once for a flat style gun locker/case. The locker would go under your bed and the draw was on rollers. It was key operated and the draw would slide out from under the bed.
