Bersa or Kel-Tec .380

Im looking to buy either a Bersa Thunder or Keltec .380. Im leaning towards the Keltec 3AT because im looking for more of a pocket pistol. Has anyone had bad experiences with the 3ATs? I like the Idea of just having a belt clip for it or just sticking it in my pocket when I couldnt carry anything larger. Any input would help.

***My choices now are the p3AT and the Skyy CPX-1, Which one???***

I have had failures to feed JHP ammunition in the Kel Tec but not a single hickup in the Bersa. IMHO, The Bersa is a better gun by a mile.

I had a Bersa .380. Great little gun, inexpensive, and reliable. I only sold it to put towards my Colt Mustang. I'd own another one in a heartbeat.

I was looking at both Friday side by side and went with the P3AT. Bersa is nice but bigger and heavier. I wanted something I could toss in a pocket in my shorts or vest when I run out the door. Mine eats SXTs with no problems.

With a bersa being close to an XDSC or a KelTec P11/PF9 I just couldn't justify getting something that big in a lesser caliber.

My money went for two Bersa pistols , one thunder and one firestorm. Go to a Kel-tec forum and read about the goods and bad sides of one and do the same with a bersa forum. Then you can make a good call on it . For me IMHO I carry my Bersa firestorm and it has been 100% all the way. P.S. ideas of being neat to clip to a belt will not always save your life if needed.

From what I've read on either forum, the Kel-Tec may have the superior factory backing.
For a pocket pistol, KT gets the nod.

Just ran another 50 rounds of SXT and 50 of Corbon DPX through mine today and no problems. Snappy but did quite well with the hotter rounds.

I love ket-tecs. They have great customer support if you need it and KTOG and other forums have tom of usefull info. It seem that they now have those guns to near 100% NIB. I believe that many of the problems associated with the P3AT are more about limp wristing than anything else.

Skyy Industries has a couple of new "pocket pistols" coming out in a month or two. Both are about the size of a Kel-Tec P-3AT. Email me for details.

I visited Skyys site. Those cool like a nice little gun. I wonder how they perform.
