I've only seen a few, but what handguns use what look like mini rifle rounds? There was one on this site and I was just curious as to what other ones used the same type of ammo. Thanks.

is this what you are talking about? if it is, then it is a .17 Hornady Mach 2 (17hm2). There are various rifles and pistols chambered for it. I bought one about 1 1/2 years ago in a Savage rifle. I hear it's fun to shoot, but I can't tell ya, because I havn't fired it yet

I bet he's referring to the FN Five-SeveN which uses the 5.56x28 round.

ZZ, here is a pic of my FN FiveseveN that fires the 5.7 X 28 round. The pic that wJake linked to is the DAO version with the unusual round trigger guard. Not many of those around now. Mine is the one mostly found on the market now. It's called the FiveseveN USG (United States Government) model, and it has a sweet single action trigger with a manual safety. Comes with 3 20-rd magazines! Notice the front of the trigger guard is not rounded like the DAO. I shot 100 rounds today with 2-3" groups @ 25-30ft, and I'm not that good. Accurate pistol and very little recoil. The velocity on these bullets is similar to rifle velocity @ around 2100-2400 fps. Just finished cleaning it and could hardly tell it'd been shot. Price around $900, and bullets around $20-$40 per box of 50.

I think the Box O' Truth should be in that gun's future. I'd love to see the test results.

+1 on the Box of Truth for the 5-7! I think I'll send an email to him and see if he can put in on his list. I would be interested to see the results between the SS192, SS195. SS196 & SS197 rounds.

I'd like to see it go head to head with some 7,62x25 SMG (hotter load) ammo. A 31gr bullet going real fast just doesn't appeal to me. I mean this thing isn't a break through...remember the .224BOZ.....
