Hi Point 9MM Carbine Rifle

Anyone shoot or own a Hi Point 9MM Carbine Rifle?

I own alot of 9mm's and was thinking about a Carbine to complement my ammo. Mainly for plinking.

Just wondering opinions on these.

Thanks

Have had a couple and at this moment trying to find another one.

They aren't the best looking but then again, only metrosexuals would worry more about how a gun looks than how it performs. They are solid, they are very accurate, they can take anything you feed them including the hottest P+ loads. You can also find 15 round mags for the 9mm model online now and pretty soon ATI will have a more ergonomic Beretta Storm clone stock available for it with rails for accessories.

Personally I just can't imagine spending the 600 for a Storm when I can get a Hi Point that's just as good for 130.

I don't have a carbine, but I've got one of their 9mm pistols that's been all but flawless since I got it.

Check out the Hi-Point forum. You'll find a lot of folks there who have the carbine and can tell you about it.

Hi-Points are cheap pieces of $#!+, but I actually like to shoot them Both are surpisingly accurate.
The C-9 pistol

The C-9 again showing orange sights and orange accent near safety lever.

Here is my 995 carbine. Fun to shoot and accurate. No jams of any kind!

This rifle is held together with nuts and bolts. You need to put some locktite on the threads so they don't come loose. The charging handle also could use some loctite to keep it in place. As long as you keep the nuts from coming loose, this rifle just goes and goes! Both rifle and pistol are crude, but effective. I have had ZERO problems with both of mine. Lifetime warranty helps too, just incase.

On the other hand, the Keltec Sub2000 has gotten lots of good reviews....

For about the same price.

Have you guys seen the new stock for the Hi-Point by Advanced Technology? Looks a lot like the Beretta Storm. I'll bet it sells pretty well.

Sorry, I know nothing about the gun. I'd love an AR in 9mm though!

I like the looks of the new stock. I have a feeling when it's finally released the 995 sales are going to jump.
That's the reason I'm trying to find one.

Note, however, that there are no irons with the new stock.

I've shot one a few times. The gun felt kind of cheap, I think it was because of all the plastic. The trigger was definitely not a target trigger, it was pretty heavy. All that being said, it was fun to shoot, and as the others have said, quite accurate. One of my friends has been thinking of selling his, and I keep thinking about buying it. I keep buying other stuff instead though.
