New member to the family at the cost of an old one...

So I purchased this today:

Here is the new piece next to the XD:

So I traded in my CETME .308 NATO for this thing. I paid $399 for the CETME about a year and a half ago. They let me swap it and pay $50 from my pocke tfor the G27 and a grip extension. They liked what I had done to the CETME (M4 stock, scope mount, digital camo paint scheme). So I don't think I lost on the deal, but maybe broke even if not came out slightly on top. I opted for the G27 over the XD .40cal SC because I will be carrying the GLOCK 22 as my sidearm with the department, and this of course takes the same mag in a pinch. I am thinking about an internal laser for this since it will be my off duty carry weapon too.

No regrets if you will find the Glock more useful.
Too bad they couldn't trade you by the pound

No kididng! The CETME was a fun rifle when I got her running smooth. But very impractical. It was ridiculously heavy! Combine that with the fact it was ment to sling lots of .308 down range, a ammunition that is not cheap, forget it. I already miss the CETME but I plan on doing it right and adding an AR-15 to the collection (somethng I can maybe use with work?), and then in a couple years, a JLD PTR91
