sig pro 9mm

I have a XD 45acp but am looking to get a 9mm for target and maybe a CCW and HD, I have been hearing really good reveiws on the sig pro 2022 9mm. Does anyone own one of these or know much about them? Also my buddy was mentioning to me that it isnt a good idea to use a pistol with a hammer for CCW because it can get caught on stuff easyier, what do you think? The reason I want the 9mm is to give me a little more variety in caliber in my collection and it will be cheaper to shoot. ( I only have a 45 in my collection right now) I only want to spend $400 -$500. I found the sig pro 2022 two tone w/night sights for 539+15 shipping and the all black for 499 +15 shipping at www.ordnanceoutsellers.com...

Can I get some input here.. Is this a good 9mm choice? Here is a picture of the 2022 9mm im looking into....

Ahhh yes, such a fine pistol. its thicker than an XD, so not quite as concealable. however for reliability and trigger feel you just cant beat it. its also one of the softest shooting polymers Ive shot. it absorbs recoil substantially. mine came with night sight also. grip angle is supurb, all i have to do is raise my arm and the sights are aligned. cant say that about a Glock. the finish is also pretty decent(nitron finished stainless steel). i carried mexican style on a hot sweaty day, and at the end of the day no rust after being soiled with sweat. after breaking the pistol down, which is the only pain in the butt with this gun(this design is used b/c u don't have to pull the trigger to field strip) the thing will ooze quality. you'll admire the build quality and integrity of the internal components used. pretty much all pistols used by military and /or special forces are hammer fired. I've never had a hang up drawing mine, even when carrying Mexican style. this is my favorite pistol period. cant say I'm keen on the new bi-tone finish. some pistols just look better in all black. oh, i forgot to mention accuracy..easily a top contender among all polymer pistols. id give it the nod over glock, and the XD. dont have an HK to compare it to so i cant say in that comparison. ill just say after qualifying with it for my ccw permit my instructor(and myself) and class mates were quite impressed, and i don't consider myself a Rob Leatham by a long shot(no pun intended).

the sigpro is a hella good gun. i have the 2009 (discontinued) and it's not quite as sweet as the 2022's, and I still like it. its my HD gun though... a little large for a CCW in my opinion. I got the XD9 sub for carry use.

the 2022's should all come with night sights, and have a standard pictannny rail for accessories.

Seems like a nice gun - I personally don't like the sig night sights as much as I do other brands. But, I almost bought a Sig Pro myself. Seems like a good gun.
