I have a Springfield GI 5" Parkerized. I've only shot around 400-500 rounds through it but I've not had many problems. The only problem I've had is the first couple rounds not chambering completely, but that seems to be a Magazine problem with 2 of my 8 round Chip McCormick Magazines. I think they are just too tight yet. A slight bump on the back of the slide usually slams the slide home. The Factory Mag has given no problems. It seems to be rather accurate for me. I'm happy with it in general, especially looking at the price I got it for vs. a $1000 kimber.

Try the Wilson 47D magazines. No doubt, the best 1911/45 magazine going.

I'll look into the wilsons, Thanks! I certainly need a magazine that's a little more dependable than those 2 Chip McCormicks.
