sig 220
what do you guys think of the full size Sig-Sauer 220 .45ACP .I just was thinking and got a wild hair up my ass that made me think about selling or trading my Bushmaster for a new Sig 220 .What do you guys think? They are sssooo expensive but so is my Bushmaster, i could get more use out of it than my Bushy . Still undecided.

The sig p220 would be in my top 10 list of handguns. You can't go wrong with one.

just wondering if i should get rid of my Bushy. Its the only assauly type rifle i have now and is relatively cheap to shoot. I have a Marlin 45/70 Govt lever acin but its for hunting .I hate to be without a high capacity rifle. The only way to get money for the sig is to sell one of my presently owned guns.

well p220 st that i had was easily the softest shooting 45 I have ever seen and dead on accurate very tight groups. But it was also the fattest and heaviest 45 I had. So it ended up being a safe queen and then got traded... but now I want another sig... maybe a 226 in 357 sig.

I have an early West German made Sig 220. The one with the heel magazine release.
Love it - absolutely love the thing. Definately the most reliable 45ACP pistol I have owned (that list includes three Colt 1911s and a Springfield Mil-Spec). Very accurate too. For a large pistol, it carries well and is really the right size and weight - not too light and short but not as heavy and big as a full size 5" 1911. Comfortable to shoot. I am very confident, shooting with the Sig 220. They're very well made pistols and once you've owned a Sig Sauer pistol for a while and shot it...you'll begin to understand why they're more expensive than other autopistols. The Sig 220 has been around for a long time and proven itself. Many law enforcement agencies carry the P220, like the Texas Highway Patrol and my friend that is a Sergeant in HPD's auto Theft Division has carried a Sig P220 for over 15 years and won't carry anything else. If the Sig 220 appeals to you, by all means, go for it. I cannot say enough good things about the Sig P220. I am a serious 1911/45ACP guy, but the Sig 220 I bought last year is forcing me to re-think my long standing belief that the 1911 is THE platform for the 45ACP round. - Brickboy240

I have a Sig P220. It and my XD .45ACP are my favorite handguns. Sigs are top of the line firearms. I would not even consider wanting to own a Glock 21 at this point.
