How does one determine the age of a GP100?

Big gun show next week and I am ready to purchase my Christmas early.

Does anyone know how to determine the age of the GP100?

Are there years of production to avoid?

Also a thanks to those who posted on how to inspect a revolver prior to purchasing. Good info.

Might ask on the Ruger forum, Matt. I don't know of any bad years for the GP's.

Great choice on the GP100. I love mine, shoots beautifully. To be honest, I wouldn't worry much about the age on any Ruger stainless steel pistol or revolver. They're built to last longer than their owners. Don't know about their polymers... but I've got a Mark II that's still humming after 25k rounds. And I know several owners of Ruger Revolvers who have gotten more than a decade of hard service out of them and they're still ticking along just great.
