Can you advise the clueless (me) about mounting his optic?

I have a rifle and a scope and some ideas. Beyond that, I'm sort of bewildered by all the available choices, as this is my first optic.

My rifle is a PTR 91 KFM4. This is a clone of the H&K 91 rifle.

Traditionally, H&K G3s and 91s have been fitted with a claw mount such as this, which mounts just forward of the rear drum sight:

Recently, though, an alternative has arisen in the form of a low-profile Picatinny Rail adapter made by MFI. They mount to the same location as the claw mounts. I have one of them:

I also have this Millet DMS-1 scope which has a 30mm tube:

My budget is around $125 or less. I (think I) want a quick-release Picatinny mount that keeps a good zero between mounts. I'd prefer a 1-piece sled mount of some sort (unless that's a horrible idea or way out of my price range). (As far as a 3-piece solution, I think I can figure that out on my own, though I'd still appreciate direction there, too.)

Due to the height of the rear sight and the fatness of the scope's eyepiece combined with the zoom ring placement, I'm fairly sure that the rings need to have a "High"* height. *(Seems the definition of "High" varies from model to model to manufacturer-- why don't they just state the height?!) I measured a necessary height of at least .65" and maybe as high as 1" depending on where the eye relief is going to fall. (Also what the hell is lapping?)

Anyway, can someone guide me through finding a 1-piece solution? I'd so appreciate it, as I've come back to this issue for several days over the past few weeks. Thanks!

I don't know anything about your rifle, but the scope you picked is a good one.

I like LaRue mounts and they have good quick detach stuff that would go well with the picatinny rail.

you can use that low profile mount.

and then slap these bad boys on them.

risers

To get the clearance you need.

As for a low profile quick detach.... that is pretty much a pipe dream for an HK style rifle (with the claw type mount)

The FEW that you might be able to find usually break.. either the edges of the rail platform itself snaps off or the lever usually stops working....

This is all my personal experience though.

So garner from that what you will.

EDIT: didn't see your request for a one piece setup.

Have you checked out the tri-rail mounts for HK style weapons?

If it was ME I would use the LaRue M4 30mm scope mount on a low profile mount.

It's a little on the high end.. but you can't go wrong.
