No man, sorry, you are wrong cb4's pic does nicely show the bel air trim that is missing on the sedan in question. I'll let you be right if it is really important to you...It is really not that big of a deal and it is obviously important for you to be correct. There were three trim levels for chevy cars between 55-57. 150 (strip down), 210 (nicer), and bel air (all the flash). I know a thing or two about these cars, I am going on year 25 of rebuilding them. It is a 1957 chevy 210 sedan. but then again, most anything could have been added or taken away from the car prior to the pic in question, so perhaps making assumptions based on a pic alone is foolish after all. sorry frenchy, I really am, it is a really neat old pic, and if you have anymore I would love to see them.

I dont know, its kinda hard to put a 50GI conversion kit on a '57.
But then again, I was always a fan of the ol' Hot Rod Lincoln...

Wow. It wasn't important for me to be right at all. It must be for you though, flat out saying I am wrong, and you will let me be right. Also, you are telling Frenchy his car that he says is a Bel Aire is not. Who NEEDS to be right? |

The frenchman is standing in the perfect spot to obscure the important stuff to me to distinguish. Also maybe consider the car was 10 years old at the time of the picture, that was an old car for a daily driver in those days, and may no longer have original trim and thing of that nature of you are going on that alone. Not uncommon to put a primo trim, a bigger engine, a high end models go fast parts and bling on a POS car a kid bought with his after school money and a few hours at the junk yard. |
