S&W Sigma

Anyone own one of these? I can buy one for $200. It sounded great till I saw some reviews and looked at prices. It does not look so good now. I certainly do not need this gun but I still want your opinions. 9mm BTW

Simply..............NO, NO, and NO again..

There is a reason the Sigma costs $200..
I've yet to find anyone that was happy about buying one.
But that could change within this thread...
Friends don't let friends buy S&W Sigma pistols....

I was deciding between my XD and the sigma.... the XD prevailed all the way, even if it was hundreds more.
Research research, one of the things I did not like was the trigger. A lot of people say its pretty stiff and after rounds at the range you feel the pain on your finger.

Lowlife you confirmed what I already thought. Thank you sir. When he first offered it though I heard Smith and 200 bucks and got awfully exited. Somethings are just to good to be true.

trigger pull alone on the sigma would discourage me from buying one.

For $200?

I would buy one. Sure they are not 'as good as a XD or Glock' but they are still pretty good pistols. My friend has one and it works every time you pull the trigger, no complaints. I would carry one with confidence.

You cant find a HiPoint for less than $150 right now. I would say you have found a pretty good deal.

From what I've read, the trigger pull was the biggest complaint.

If money is an issue, save a little more for something better.
I'd take a beaten used Glock over a new Sigma....
And that isn't a slam at the Glock.
Glocks are great guns, I wished they fit in my hand, but they don't.
I just bought a used HK pistol last week, hit the range with it and loved it.
Paid half of what is costs new..

Thumbs up

I have a S&W 40VE for about three years, about 800rds through it, goes bang everytime, the trigger is like a DAO revolver a non-issue for me, it can be lightened by removing the little pigtail spring if one wants too.
overall i like the gun.
