Mossberg 500 stuff - XDTalk Forums

I have a Mossberg 500, and I want some stuff for it.

1) Slide Tube Assembly

2) Police wood stock

3) Tri-rail mount that goes on the mag tube

4) Flashlight for it

5) Scope mount (maybe)

5) Red dot sight (maybe)

6) 18.5 in barrel

Pics of your guns will help me decide what I want for it. Right now I have an OD green stock set. Ill be willing to trade it for wood if your interested. If your trying to sell any of the things listed above, please pm me.

With a stock its a SBS and a $200 tax stamp. With the pistol grip its an AOW and a $5 tax stamp.

My mossy 500 that is! I love it but I want a 18.5 barrel myself as well.

No, you'll get fined heftily if you believe so.

The pistol grip itself is a $5 tax stamp. The barrel, being under 16" in length is $200. Also, since the overall weapon is less than 27" presumably, it is considered an SBS for more than just the barrel.

Both require the stamp, and in some states the pistol grip requires one too.

no this is how it works

-my gun is a factory made AOW which is a $5 tax total
-if you make an AOW is has to be from a shotgun that has NEVER had a buttstock on it but its a $200 manufacturing tax but $5 transfer tax if you sold it.
-if you take a regular shotgun and put a 14" barrel on it then its a SBS (short barreled shotgun) which has a $200 manufacturing tax and a $200 transfer tax

so if your making one on your own you have to pay a $200 tax if its an aow or a SBS

but if your buying an already registered AOW its $5-but you can never put a buttstock on it
if your buying a SBS thats already registered its $200
