What I did this weekend

What I did this past weekend:

Sniper's Paradise 2009 Rendezvous Shoot - Milton, TN
It was absolutely beautiful up there. But I got sun burned BAD. Targets were placed between 300 to 1250 yards, at 50 yard intervals. I only shot between 300 to 750 yards after rezeroing for 175 grn FGMM ammunition at 100 yards. I had a spotter helping me getting my dope for the hits. In the hanger, really good BBQ was served, and for dinner Saturday night, a smoked prime rib dinner. I can't wait for the October shoot!

HOW DID YOU SHOOT???

How did the rifle, scope combo treat you in those different ranges? Nice photos, but man... you can't do that to me and leave out all the pertinent info...

Please gimme all the dope!

Wish there was a range like that around here.
All there is in my area is 100 yd.

Oh, the shoot was a blast and my newb ass shot very well! I don't know how my grouping was at 100 yards, but I was told I shot well. All I could tell through the scope was a ragged hole. So at least they were touching. The from 300 yards to 700 yards, the targets where steel poppers. Damn they were small! From 750 to 1250, the targets where steel E-types. I was unable to get groups out that far as there were some 20 people shooting, but was rewarded by being able to watch targets I hit reset through the scope. My rifle and scope (pictured above with the cammo over the scope) did very well. I am wanting a better bolt handle knob for it now though after working the bolt on it a bunch. The rifle was a blast to shoot, although my weak ass shoulder was sore after a couple magazines through it. The coolest thing about it was how damn nice everybody was. I am looking forward to getting back out there for the October shoot.

Oh yeah, I can't tell you how much gear goes into a weekend like this. I drove up Satruday for dinner at the range, and then shot all day Sunday. I had to work Monday, and I was beat, so I drug everything into my apartment, where its still sitting just inside the front door. Thank God I have a pick-up truck to get all this crap to the range. The back of the truck was actually sittin' a little lower.
